Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a 360 Excavator Operator for an immediate start in Carlisle, Cumbria. You will operate a 360-degree excavator on-site to perform essential groundwork for a new commercial development (Burger King), ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role requires a valid CPCS/NPORS ticket for above-10-tonne machines and proven experience on construction sites. You must have PPE and reliable transport to the Carlisle site. Contract length is 6 weeks with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS or NPORS card with 360 ticket (Above 10 tonne is highly desirable).
• Demonstrable experience operating a 360 Excavator in a construction environment.
• Full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Reliable transport to the site location in Carlisle.

Responsibilities

• Operating the 360 Excavator (likely above 10-tonne) safely and efficiently.
• Digging concrete foundations, trenches, and general excavation.
• Breaking out and moving materials, including tarmac and rubble.
• Assisting with lifting operations (if certified and required).
• Working closely with groundworkers and site management to keep the project on schedule.
• Conducting daily plant checks and reporting any defects.
