Essential Role Requirements

• Able to dig strip foundations
• An excellent eye for finished works, such as topsoil, levelling muck, type 1, crush, and road formation
• Capable of lifting and working with trench boxes, manhole boxes, drag boxes, and trench sheets
• Able to read and understand levels and drawings
• Acknowledge the need for dig permits before breaking ground
• Experienced working around live services and in service avoidance techniques
• Able to carry out daily pre-start plant safety inspections, maintenance checks, and communicate service requirements to site management
• Able to perform basic maintenance, greasing, and keep machines clean and tidy
• Must show respect for plant and maintain high standards
• Proactive and able to manage time effectively

Desirable

• Knowledge of GPS machine control is advantageous
• Additional CPCS/NPORS tickets and experience operating telehandlers, dumpers, rollers
• 5+ years of experience

General Expectations

• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to work well with other trades and support timely project delivery
• Right to work in the UK
