Job summary

Utility Line Ltd. is seeking a seasoned 33kV Estimator & Technical Lead to drive the new EHV capability. You will produce detailed, compliant estimates for 33kV projects and collaborate with CPOs, IDNOs and developers to shape pricing models and commercial strategies.

The role involves preparing tender documents, cost modelling, bid evaluation, and influencing the company’s 33kV offering with strong commercial awareness and technical insight.

Qualifications

• Proven estimating experience within the ICP/IDNO/DNO electricity infrastructure sector.
• Experience with bid writing and tendering projects up to 33kV.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify risk and margin opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed tender documents and submissions for electrical infrastructure projects up to 33kV.
• Include tender clarifications, exclusions, assumptions and qualifications.
• Evaluate tender enquiry documentation: review scope, requirements and technical specs.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new ones.
• Attend Pre-Construction meetings with Operations & Project Management when bids succeed.
• Develop accurate cost models including civils, cable installation, substations, long-lead items and commissioning costs.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with Pre-Construction & Project Management to ensure estimates are practical and deliverable.
• Assist in developing estimating systems, procedures and commercial frameworks for EHV projects.
• Keep up-to-date with industry standards, DNO requirements and ICP market developments.
