Adler & Allan is seeking a highly experienced 33kV Estimator and Technical Lead to support our expansion into higher voltage infrastructure. Based in the UK, you will produce accurate, commercially competitive estimates for electrical projects up to 33kV and influence pricing strategies, while collaborating with CPOs, IDNOs and developers.

You'll develop cost models, evaluate supplier quotations and help shape our 33kV offering with robust risk assessment, tender preparation and process

Qualifications

• Proven estimating experience within ICP/IDNO/DNO electricity infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of connections and ICP delivery models.
• Experience in bid writing and tendering projects up to 11kV & 33kV.
• Knowledge of the DNO and IDNO connection processes.
• Experience with primary substations and EHV connections.
• Experience reviewing technical designs and construction specifications.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify risk and margin opportunities.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Experience using estimating software and strong Excel skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepare detailed tender documents and submissions for electrical infrastructure projects up to 33kV.
• Include tender clarifications, exclusions, assumptions and qualifications.
• Evaluation of tender enquiry documentation received from clients and ensure all relevant/correct information has been provided - reviewing scope, requirements and technical specifications.
• Maintain excellent working relationships with existing clients as well as developing new relationships.
• Attending Pre-Construction meetings with Operations & Project Management team when bids are successful and PO's issued.
• Develop accurate cost models including: Civils works, cable installation, substation construction, long-lead time equipment, commissioning activities & permitting costs.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Liaise with Pre-Construction & Project Management team to ensure estimates are practical and deliverable
• Assist in the development of Utility Line's estimating systems, procedures and commercial frameworks for EHV projects
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry standards, DNO requirements and ICP market developments.
