Restore plc in Swinton, Manchester is seeking a 3.5T Van Driver - Secure Collections Operative. The role blends professional driving with hands-on collections of confidential materials, transporting them securely for destruction.

Daily duties include collecting across customer sites, loading and moving materials, and maintaining high security and service standards. You will drive a 3.5T vehicle, handle a variety of materials, log collections on a PDA, and work Monday to Friday with no weekends

Competenze

• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable with hands-on manual handling tasks.
• Reliable, organised and safety-conscious at all times.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and manage daily routes.

Mansioni

• Drive a 3.5T vehicle and complete planned collection routes.
• Collect confidential documents, paper waste, IT equipment, WEEE, DMR and secure materials.
• Load, move and handle collection bags and containers.
• Work across customer sites, may walk between points and use stairs.
• Use a PDA to record collections and customer information.
• Complete vehicle checks and report defects.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of customer materials.

About The Role

Role: 3.5T Van Driver- Secure Collection & Manual Handling Role
Location: Swinton, Manchester. M27 8UJ
Salary: £29,891.86 + £250 Quarterly Bonus
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 45 hours (No Weekends or Night Shifts)
Contract type: Permanent

This isn't your typical driving role. As a 3.5T Van Driver -Secure Collections Operative, you'll combine professional driving with hands‑on collections work, collecting confidential materials from customer sites and transporting them securely for destruction. If you enjoy an active role that keeps you moving throughout the day, this could be the perfect fit. Alongside driving, you'll be collecting and moving materials across customer sites, making every day varied and engaging.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Driving a 3.5T vehicle and completing planned collection routes
• Collecting confidential documents, paper waste, IT equipment, WEEE, DMR and secure materials
• Loading, moving and handling collection bags and containers as part of your daily duties
• Working across customer sites, which may involve walking between collection points and using stair access
• Using a PDA to record collections and customer information
• Completing vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Providing excellent customer service and acting as a professional company representative
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of customer materials

• Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
• Someone who enjoys a manual handling and hands‑on role (Essential)
• Reliable, organised and safety‑conscious
• Great communication and customer service skills (Essential)
• Able to work independently and manage daily routes effectively (Essential)
• Committed to maintaining high standards of security and confidentiality (Essential)

Please note: This is an active role that includes regular lifting and moving of collection sacks and containers throughout the working day. Training and equipment will be provided to support safe manual handling practices.
