Job summary

Booker Group plc is seeking a part-time delivery driver to join our local delivery team in Exeter. You will be responsible for loading stock, delivering to customers, and keeping paperwork accurate to ensure shelves stay stocked and customers receive a reliable service.

Working pattern may include weekend shifts and overtime opportunities; the role emphasizes strong customer service, good numeracy and literacy, and a valid Cat B / 3.5T licence.

Qualifications

• Cat B / 3.5T licence held and valid.
• Previous driving experience, preferably in deliveries.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries and handling.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude.
• Good level of literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the Branch.
• Unload at customer premises and ensure timely deliveries.
• Complete paperwork accurately and maintain delivery records.
• Deliver locally to regular customers and build relationships.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on a part time contract, your shift patternsmay include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

Cat B / 3.5T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
