Job summary

Booker Group plc is seeking delivery drivers for local routes in Brighton. You will be part of a delivery team responsible for ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time with a high level of service.

The role operates on an “Any 5 from 7” pattern with some weekend work. Overtime opportunities and fully funded CPC training hours are available. You’ll have a 45-hour week and build relationships with regular customers.

Qualifications

• CatC/18T licence required for driving deliveries.
• At least two years of driving experience.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude.
• Good level of literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the Branch and unload at customer premises.
• Complete paperwork accurately for deliveries.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

CatC / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
