Job summary

Plumb Centre in Sittingbourne is hiring a Delivery Driver 3.5t for a full-time role. You will be responsible for delivering plumbing and heating supplies within an 80 mile radius, with 10–30 deliveries daily to builders and customers. Duties include loading/unloading, vehicle checks, and warehouse assistance when not on deliveries.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00, with no weekend work. A full UK driving licence, good communication skills, and basic computer use are required.

Qualifications

• Full clean UK Manual Driving Licence is required.
• Previous multidrop driving is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with PDA devices are necessary.
• Be a team player and assist in warehouse operations when needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies primarily within an 80 mile radius of the branch.
• Make 10–30 deliveries daily, mainly to new build sites and residential customers.
• Carry out vehicle checks and ensure safe operation.
• Load/unload deliveries, with manual handling of heavy items.
• Assist in warehouse tasks such as unloading, picking, packing, and stock checks.
