Job summary

Speedy Hire Plc. in St Albans is hiring a 3.5-ton Delivery Driver to deliver and collect hire equipment from customers and sites. The role runs Mon-Fri, 07:30-17:00, 42 hours per week, with flexible hours and a strong emphasis on work-life balance.

You will carry out vehicle checks, load and unload equipment safely, and provide excellent customer service while representing Speedy Hire professionally. A full UK driving licence and delivery experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• A full, valid UK driving licence.
• Delivery driving experience is preferred.
• Professional, friendly and customer-focused attitude.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting hire equipment from customer sites and businesses.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and roadworthy.
• Loading and unloading equipment safely and securely.
• Providing excellent customer service and representing Speedy Hire professionally.
• Working closely with the depot team to ensure deliveries and collections run smoothly.
