Job summary

Speedy Group is seeking a 3.5-ton Delivery Driver based in St Albans. The role involves delivering and collecting hire equipment to customers and sites, ensuring safety and professionalism. Flexible hours and a 42-hour week with early start times are offered with pro rata salary £29,572.

You will perform vehicle checks, load/unload equipment, and provide excellent customer service while coordinating with the depot team to keep deliveries running smoothly. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Previous delivery driving experience preferred.
• Professional, friendly and customer-focused attitude.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• Responsible approach to driving, vehicle safety and manual handling.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting hire equipment from customer sites and businesses.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and roadworthy.
• Loading and unloading equipment safely and securely.
• Providing excellent customer service and representing Speedy Hire professionally.
• Working closely with the depot team to ensure deliveries and collections run smoothly.
