Job summary

Booker, the UK's leading food and drink wholesaler, is hiring delivery drivers to serve our regular customers locally.

You will load stock at the branch, make deliveries to customer premises, and complete paperwork accurately while delivering a high level of service.

This is a 7-day operation with weekend shifts possible; we welcome applications from drivers with Cat B licence.

Qualifications

• Valid Cat B / 3.5T licence.
• Minimum two years' driving experience, delivery driving preferred.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries and ensure accuracy of paperwork.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude.
• Good level of literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Drive locally and deliver to regular customers as part of a delivery team.
• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Complete paperwork accurately and maintain service standards.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

This is a 7 day operation, our shift patternsmay include some weekend working.

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

• Cat B / 3.5T Licence
• Previous experience of driving (at least two years)
• Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude
• Good level of literacy and numeracy
