Job summary

Booker is seeking a Local Delivery Driver to join our branch team. You will drive locally, build relationships with regular customers, and ensure deliveries are on time with great service.

This 7-day operation may include weekend work. You will load stock, unload at customer premises, and complete paperwork as part of a dedicated delivery team.

Candidates should hold a Cat B / 3.5T licence and have at least two years of driving experience; good literacy and numeracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Cat B / 3.5T licence required.
• Previous driving experience is essential (minimum two years).
• Delivery driving experience is preferred.
• Ability to load/unload deliveries manually.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good level of literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Deliver locally and build relationships with regular customers.
• Provide excellent customer service during every delivery.
• This role operates 7 days with some weekend shifts.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. You will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

This is a 7 day operation, our shift patternsmay include some weekend working.

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

• Cat B / 3.5T Licence
• Previous experience of driving (at least two years)
• Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude
• Good level of literacy and numeracy
