Location: Liverpool - hybrid
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 D.O.E

Whether you're an experienced 2nd Line Engineer or a 1st Line Engineer looking to step up, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team in Liverpool. You'll be providing hands-on technical support in a fast-paced environment while developing your skills in hardware, software, networking, and help desk management.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing 2nd Line technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Troubleshooting and resolving Windows, macOS, and Linux operating system problems.
- Managing support tickets using tools like Jira, ServiceNow, and Remedy.
- Collaborating with 1st and 3rd Line teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Setting up and configuring new hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Assisting users with network connectivity, security, and troubleshooting.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of issues and solutions.
- Keeping up to date with the latest technology trends and best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a 2nd Line IT support role OR a 1st Line Engineer eager to step up.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, troubleshooting, and configuration.
- Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with networking concepts and protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
- Active Directory, Group Policies, Windows Server (up to 2022)
- Virtualisation including Azure VD, VMware, Hyper-V
- Familiarity with help desk software such as Jira, Remedy, or ServiceNow.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, able to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
