Job summary

Solutions Engineering Recruitment is seeking a experienced 2nd Line IT Support Technician to join a technical support team serving Greenwich area schools. You will provide hands-on support across Windows, Microsoft 365, Azure and network infrastructure, resolving escalated issues and keeping client environments fully operational.

Requirements include 3–5 years of MSP experience, solid 2nd line troubleshooting, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' IT support experience, ideally MSP.
• Strong 2nd line troubleshooting & escalation.
• Excellent knowledge of Windows Client & MS Server.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365 & Azure.
• Good understanding of wired and wireless networking.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software & network infra.
• Strong problem-solving & analytical skills.
• Excellent communication & customer-facing abilities.
• Good organisation & time-management skills.
• The ability to work independently & manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line support across multiple client sites.
• Escalate complex hardware, software & networking issues.
• Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, Azure & Server environments.
• Diagnose LAN, Wi-Fi & network connectivity problems.
• Install & maintain servers, workstations, networking equipment.
• Carry out hardware upgrades & maintenance.
• Configure & deploy IT equipment & network infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance & pre-empt issues.
• Maintain records via the help desk system.
• Travel between school/client sites as required.
• Occasional out-of-hours support when needed.
