Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join the UK IT team. The role involves a balance of support, administration and project activity within a modern Microsoft cloud environment, delivering reliability across multiple sites.

You will manage 2nd line incidents, administer Azure, Entra ID, Intune and Azure Virtual Desktop, and contribute to improvements while producing clear technical documentation for non-technical users.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Intune and Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 including Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint.
• Good networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls and VPNs.
• Experience supporting Windows Server environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to support non-technical users.

Responsibilities

Our client is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong infrastructure professional who enjoys a mix of support, administration and project work within a modern Microsoft cloud environment. You'll play a key role in maintaining and improving the organisation's infrastructure while supporting users across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line infrastructure support and resolve escalated issues.
• Support and administer Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Maintain Azure Virtual Desktop and remote working solutions.

The Right Candidate Will Have

• Previous experience in a 2nd Line Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Intune and Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 including Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint.
• Good networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls and VPNs.
• Experience supporting Windows Server environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to support non-technical users.

Desirable Skills

• Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104 or similar).
• Experience with enterprise firewall and VPN technologies.
• Exposure to Intune, SCCM or endpoint management tools.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Experience within multi-site environments.
