Job summary

prosource.it is supporting the search for an experienced Data & AI Literacy SME to support a key strategic initiative focused on developing organisational data and AI capability. This role is suited to someone who can take ownership of the end-to-end sourcing and selection process for a strategic delivery partner.

Working closely with programme stakeholders, commercial teams and procurement colleagues, you will help translate Data & AI literacy ambitions into a clear scope, supplier requirements

Qualifications

• Significant procurement experience from requirements definition through to supplier recommendation.
• Experience developing statements of requirements, scopes of work and tender documentation.
• Strong understanding of supplier evaluation, commercial assessment and procurement governance.
• Experience translating strategic objectives into clear supplier requirements and evaluation frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
• Outstanding written communication and documentation skills.
• Practical understanding of what makes a successful Data & AI literacy or capability-building programme.

• Supporting supplier presentations, interviews and solution workshops.
• Assessing the quality, suitability, deliverability and commercial value of supplier proposals.
• Supporting the recommendation and selection of the preferred supplier.

prosource.it is supporting the search for an experienced Data & AI Literacy SME to support a key strategic initiative focused on developing organisational data and AI capability. This role is suited to someone who can take ownership of the end-to-end sourcing and selection process for a strategic delivery partner. Working closely with programme stakeholders, commercial teams and procurement colleagues, you will help translate Data & AI literacy ambitions into a clear scope, supplier requirements and tender process, ultimately identifying the partner best positioned to deliver the organisation's vision. This is not a training delivery role. Instead, you’ll be responsible for defining requirements, managing the procurement process and recommending the most suitable supplier.

Location:UK based, with ability to travel to sites mainly in Central Scotland

Contractors: Competitive day rate available for suitable candidates

The Role

You’ll support the sourcing and selection of a strategic partner for a major Data & AI Literacy initiative, ensuring the organisation secures the capabilities required to develop data and AI skills across the business.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong procurement and commercial expertise with an understanding of Data & AI capability development.

• Significant experience running procurement or sourcing exercises from requirements definition through to supplier recommendation
• Experience developing statements of requirements, scopes of work and tender documentation
• Strong understanding of supplier evaluation, commercial assessment and procurement governance
• Experience translating strategic objectives into clear supplier requirements and evaluation frameworks
• Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills
• Outstanding written communication and documentation skills
• Practical understanding of what makes a successful Data & AI literacy or capability-building programme
