NHS Dumfries and Galloway invites an enthusiastic Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our orthopaedic team, supporting patients undergoing elective and trauma surgery. This fixed term post offers opportunities to develop specialist skills within a busy ortho service and contribute to patient outcomes and length of stay.
You will assess and support patients, deliver rehabilitation and discharge planning, and work closely with physiotherapists, nurses, consultants and the wider MDT.
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Ortho paedic Team, supporting patients undergoing elective ortho paedic surgery and also trauma patients.
This is a fixed term post until 31st March 27.
Working as part of a well-established multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in ensuring patients receive high-quality assessment, rehabilitation, discharge planning and support throughout their stay. This post offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialist skills within the busy ortho paedic service while contributing to service improvement and enhanced patient outcomes.
Previous experience within acute care, and ortho paedics is essential.
