Job summary

Randox Health is hiring a Phlebotomist for the Manchester clinic inside Holland and Barrett Market Street. You will collect blood samples from private and corporate clients and deliver excellent service.

You will work 40 hours weekly across two shift patterns, with full-time permanent contracts and potential part-time options. Vaccination against Hepatitis B and successful DBS check are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service environment.
• Confident using IT programmes.
• Flexibility with working hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Desirable: Phlebotomy certificate or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct blood collection and other sample collection tasks for private and corporate clients.
• Enter data into the Patient Information System (PIS) and maintain accurate records.
• Represent Randox professionally at offsite events and appointments.
• Upsell and cross-sell at our private health clinic and drive sales.
• Assist with reception, front of house and administrative duties.
• Complete company forms, specimen labelling and laboratory test order forms.
• Demonstrate high IT literacy to manage multiple software systems.

• £13.46 per hour to £14.42 per hour, with additional bonuses

We have an exciting new career opportunity for a Phlebotomist within our clinic in the Holland and Barrett store on Market Street in Manchester.

103-105 Market Street, Manchester, M1 1NN.

Contract Offered:

Full-time, permanent. We can also consider part time hours.

Working Hours / Shifts:

40 hours per week, alternating between a Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday shift pattern. Start and finish times will be either 7.40am to 4.20pm or 8.40am to 5.20pm.

For this position, as you may be in contact with live blood samples, you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage. In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Right to Work Requirement

Please note that this role requires candidates to have the legal right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months from the application date. This is to ensure completion of our 9-month probationary period and for any potential sponsorship decisions to be considered. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship at the point of hire.

This role is responsible for ensuring customers have an excellent experience from the moment they enter our clinic, taking blood samples from both private and corporate clients. This is a varied role that may also include the following responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS).
• Demonstrate sensitive communication to ensure client understanding and consent.
• Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation.
• Represent the company professionally at offsite events and appointments.
• Engage in upselling and cross-selling at our private health clinic.
• Proactively drive sales and exceed targets.
• Help with reception, front of house and other administrative duties.
• Complete company forms, specimen labelling, and laboratory test order forms accurately.
• Demonstrate high IT literacy in order to manager various software systems and daily tasks.

Essential criteria:

• Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service environment.
• Confident using IT programmes.
• Flexibility with working hours, as required by the business inclusive of evenings and weekends.
• Flexibility to work from offsite locations at least once per month.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Currently have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.

Desirable:

• Previous Phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training.
• Experience in a private healthcare setting.
• Experience in customer service.
• 6 months experience in Phlebotomy.
• Sales / Retail experience.
• Valid UK driving licence.
