Sussex Police is seeking candidates for a Control & Contact Handler role based at our Headquarters near Lewes. You will undergo an 11-week training course, then work across the 101 and 999 services in a 24/7 fast-paced contact centre, gaining diverse skills and career progression opportunities.

The role demands clear communication, calm decision-making under pressure, and a commitment to shift patterns. Salary £30,897 with additional unsocial shift allowance after training.

Qualifications

• Must be aged 18 or over on submission day.
• Must have lived in the UK for three continuous years prior to application.
• Cannot be a current or previous member of a proscribed terrorist organisation or group.
• Must not have served a prison sentence.
• Able to commit to one of the available shift patterns.

Responsabilités

• Join an 11-week training course: five weeks' training and six weeks' tutoring.
• Training is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 16:00.
• Posteriorly work across 101 and 999 within the contact centre at Sussex Police Headquarters Lewes.
• Potential progression into supervisory roles or other roles across the organisation.
