Job summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited in Reading is seeking a Technical Resource Coordinator to join our 24/7 Waste Operational Control Centre. This role coordinates responses to asset issues, supports field teams and helps prevent pollution and safety incidents.

Based at Kemble Court with hybrid working (10 days in the office, 4 days from home), the role includes rotating day and night shifts (6:30–18:30, 18:30–06:30) and a 6-month secondment.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating responses to operational issues.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a busy environment.
• Good understanding of customer outcomes and their impact.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating responses to reports of asset issues and escalating as needed.
• Supporting first responders dealing with pollution and compliance incidents.
• Ensuring high-priority jobs progress within required timescales.
• Carrying out live scenario checks before confined-space work to ensure safety.
• Collaborating with Field and Site Managers to resolve issues.
