Job summary

Romac Logistics Ltd. is expanding its 24/7 central support team in Chesterfield to enhance visibility of deliveries across England and Scotland. The role focuses on proactive monitoring of vehicles, drivers, and customer updates, with a strong emphasis on communication and ownership.

You will ensure timely information, manage incidents, and contribute to performance reporting while supporting a busy 24/7 transport operation from the Chesterfield office.

Qualifications

• Experience with Traffic Management Systems (TMS)
• Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
• Proactive, ownership of tasks and service issues
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage live deliveries

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor and track vehicles and drivers across England and Scotland
• Maintain live visibility of delivery progress against planned times
• Identify delays and communicate with customers and transport teams
• Provide proactive notifications of delays and revised ETAs
• Produce on-time delivery and KPI reports for stakeholders
• Liaise with drivers and transport operations to maintain accurate information
• Act as central point of contact for customer queries and updates
• Take ownership from identification to resolution or escalation
• Record incidents and service failures accurately and share trends for improvements
