Job summary

Volvo Group's Renault Trucks division is seeking a dedicated 24/7 HGV Technician to join our service team. The role includes on-call shifts (1 week in 3) and a rotating day pattern, with a 06:00-15:30/12:30-22:00 schedule on non-call weeks.

You will diagnose, repair and maintain heavy goods vehicles to a high standard. We offer an excellent earning potential with a £62,829 basic and up to £85,000 OTE, plus overtime, £25 call-out, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• HGV Level 3 qualification or equivalent required.
• Breakdown experience essential.
• Excellent diagnostic skills required.
• HGV experience preferred at a dealership.
• Full UK manual driving licence required; HGV Class 1 desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out breakdown repairs and diagnostics on HGVs.
• Perform routine service and maintenance to Volvo Renault Trucks.
• Adhere to health and safety and quality standards.
• Provide on-call support on a 1 week in 3 cycle and rotating shifts.

What you will do

New Rates - Excellent earning potential £62,829 basic with £85,000 OTE

We require a dedicated 24 /7 HGV Technician - 1 week in 3 on 7 days call, then working the normal rotating shift pattern for the 2 non call weeks (06.00 to 1530 and 12.30 to 22.00 Mon-Fri 45 hours)

Hourly Rate basic of £26.85 pr hr with overtime - time and half (£40.27) and double time (£53.70) PLUS £25 call out payment

Skills and abilities:

• HGV Technician Level 3 qualifications or equivalent
• Breakdown experience
• Excellent diagnostic skills
• Proven HGV experience preferably dealership
• Full UK Manual Driving licence a must (also a HGV Class 1 licence would be desirable)
