Job summary

The NSPCC's Childline Universal team in Salford is recruiting two full-time Childline Practitioners (Universal). You will support volunteers who speak with children, lead on safeguarding decisions during shifts, and coach the team to maintain high-quality service.

This role features a hybrid rota with morning, day, and evening shifts across a 6-week pattern, weekend work every three weeks (or every six weeks for part-time).

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people in safeguarding context.
• Passion for supporting others in emotionally challenging situations.
• Committed to putting children first and NSPCC values.

Responsibilities

• Support volunteers while they talk to children.
• Lead on on-shift safeguarding decisions.
• Provide coaching and supervision to volunteers.
• Ensure every child receives a high-quality service.
