Job summary

A central bank of the UK is seeking a Shift Charge Engineer to support maintenance and operations in critical systems. The role involves managing work permits, conducting inspections, and ensuring system availability 24/7. Candidates should have relevant engineering qualifications and experience in HVAC/BMS. The position offers a salary between £43,830 and £48,700, plus additional shift allowance, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum City & Guilds Level 4 (or transferable) in a relevant engineering subject.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification.
• Experience operating and maintaining HVAC, BMS, Electrical, Public Health and Life Safety Systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage faults with priority response to minimize downtime.
• Undertake routine inspections across HVAC, electrical, public health, fire and other systems.
• Ensure work is completed in line with methods and risk assessments.

Skills

Authorised Person experience at HV and LV operation

Excellent verbal and written communication

Customer service oriented

Knowledge of statutory and compliance obligations

Flexibility and collaboration

Education

Minimum City & Guilds Level 4 in relevant engineering subject
