Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking an electrically biased Shift Engineer for a critical data centre in Slough. You will manage Planned Preventative and Reactive maintenance, and lead the shift team to ensure uptime and safety.

Candidates should hold City & Guilds Level 3 and 18th Edition, with strong electrical qualifications. The package includes £50,000–£55,000, pension, 22 days holiday, overtime, and clear opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Electrically qualified and experienced in building maintenance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Experience in managing maintenance in critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative and Reactive maintenance on client assets.
• Keep Health & Safety, Building Compliance and Quality records up to date.
• Oversee sub-contractor work and approvals on site.
• Diagnose faults and restore plant to service promptly.
• Maintain spares and update maintenance records (job sheets).
• Prepare and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Manage shift team and develop client relationships.
• Ensure tasks are completed and training plans are implemented.
