The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester is seeking an experienced Acute Oncology Nurse Advisor. You will provide 24/7 telephone triage, assess acutely unwell patients following cancer treatments, and arrange emergency review as needed.

Ideal candidates have oncology/haematology or emergency care background, with palliative care experience preferred. You will liaise with hospitals, GPs, and the community to optimise patient care and safety within a leading cancer centre.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with oncology/haematology or emergency care experience.
• Experience in oncology or emergency care is required.
• Palliative care and management experience desirable.

Responsabilités

• Provide 24/7 telephone triage and advise patients on treatment side effects.
• Communicate with patients and carers with empathy while handling sensitive information.
• Assess information and give safe, appropriate clinical advice on issues.
• Prioritise calls and manage workload to ensure timely responses.
• Maintain accurate electronic patient records and liaise with the MDT.
• Collaborate with local hospitals and community teams to ensure continuity of care.
