An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (Band 6) to join the Stewartry Community Mental Health Nursing Team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work with individuals experiencing moderate to severe mental health issues, providing assessment, support, advice, and interventions to promote recovery, wellbeing, and self-management.
The post involves working closely with patients and carers, collaborating with colleagues across the health and social care partnership, as well as third and independent sectors. Excellent communication skills, compassion, and the ability to develop therapeutic relationships are essential.
Candidates must demonstrate the skills and knowledge to work effectively within a clinical team, supporting safe and effective assessments. Experience working with mental health disorders and a valid NMC registration are required.
Leadership qualities and the ability to make clinical decisions under pressure are important. The role offers opportunities for personal development, supported by supervision, mentoring, and training.
