Job description

The Role

To liaise closely with Divisional, Performance, Modernisation staff, IM&T colleagues, Health Records and external agencies to ensure that corporate patient focussed data systems are fully utilised to support the clinical and business activities of NHS Lanarkshire.

The post will work across the Information Services structure however the postholder may be the designated lead for particular workloads and customers.

What we'll need you to bring

Academic qualifications require a high numerical and statistical content at HNC level with further skills gained through a mixture of experience and internal formal training.

3 years working in an information/ statistics environment with at least 1 year within the NHS.

A specialist knowledge and experience of application of NHS data definitions, information standards and policies is required.

Effective and sure communication skills are required to present and advise on analyses and implications and provide instruction and guidance on procedures and standards.

An ability to identify and resolve straightforward technical and organisational obstacles to the information production process is required.

Planning and organising of own workload is required to manage requirements of mandatory routine with non-routine requests and participation in short-term and ongoing internal and external working groups.

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

It would be great if you also have

Clinic\patient scheduling experience on Patient Management System

Knowledge of Patient Management System

Understanding of health record protocols on confidentiality and data protection

Interpersonal skills both written and verbal

Computer literate with accurate keyboard skills for data entry

Ability to plan and prioritise workload to ensure targets are met

Experience in multi-tasking working as part of a team and on own initiative

The working pattern for this role Mon-Fri; between 08:00-18:00
