Job Description:

This position involves managing the day-to-day psychological therapies service for Forensic Mental Health Service users, carers, referral agencies, and staff, addressing a broad range of complex mental health needs.

The postholder will supervise psychological therapy staff, manage their work in coordination with the Head of Adult Mental Health, and contribute to service and policy development within the department.

Located in Dumfries & Galloway in South West Scotland, the department employs around 80 staff, including clinical psychologists across various specialties. It offers a supportive environment with strong academic links, training opportunities, and placements for CBT therapists.

The role includes dedicated CPD and supervision time, with flexible working arrangements considered.
