The Role: Freelance Sport Psychologist – Cricket

As afreelance sport psychologist (cricket focus), you’ll deliver 1:1 online sessions that help players build critical mental skills such as:

• Focus and concentration
• Confidence and self-belief
• Pre-performance routines
• Emotional regulation
• Recovering from mistakes and setbacks

You’ll work with clients referred by Cricket Mind Online, choose sessions that suit your availability, and get paid per consultation.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a motivated professional who:

Has a recognised qualification inSport and Exercise Psychologyor a related discipline

Has experience supporting athletes in 1:1 settings — especially cricketers

Communicates clearly, builds rapport, and works independently

Understands the mental demands of cricket (e.g. long games, repeated failure, pressure moments)

Has a quiet, well-lit space and strong internet for reliable online sessions

Desirable Qualifications

We especially welcome applications from those who have:

• HCPC registration as aSport and Exercise Psychologist
• BASES SEPAR accreditation (or are currently training)
• Membership ofBASESorCIMSPA
• Cricket experience — as aplayer,coach, or performance practitioner
• Familiarity with ECB pathways and performance environments
