Job summary

AIG's Summer Internship Program in the UK offers 8 weeks of hands-on underwriting experience within the Financial Lines team, running from 14 June to 6 August 2027. Interns work on real projects, attend masterclasses, and network with leaders while gaining insight into insurance risk pricing and client engagement.

During the program, interns will explore different lines of business, receive mentoring, and may be considered for a permanent Graduate Analyst role starting in September 2028.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree to be received no later than June 2028.
• Previous work or volunteering experience in any industry or sector.
• Evidence of extra‑curricular activities.
• A collaborative team player with strong communication skills.

AIG Underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, and Multinational Clients. About the AIG Early Career Programme

AIG's Summer Interns are immersed in the day‑to‑day operations of a fast‑moving, global insurance company. During the 8‑week program, you will gain valuable, hands‑on experience and insurance industry knowledge, working with leaders on dynamic projects, with plenty of opportunity for challenges, learning and achievement. Summer Interns join one of our key business teams, which offers a unique opportunity to obtain core technical knowledge and professional skills in a diverse environment. In addition to meaningful on‑job experiences, interns will join instructor‑led masterclasses, hear directly from senior leaders, and build meaningful connections through mentoring circles, networking events and volunteering. Following completion of the internship program, interns may be considered for a permanent role in the Graduate Analyst program beginning in September 2028.
