Job summary

AIG’s Underwriting Summer Internship Program offers hands-on experience in a fast-moving, global insurance company. Over 8 weeks, interns work with leaders on dynamic projects, gaining real underwriting experience, while receiving training, mentoring, and networking opportunities.

Upon completion, interns may be considered for a permanent role in the Graduate Analyst program beginning in September 2028. Internships are based in the UK office and emphasize collaboration and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree to be received no later than June 2028.
• Previous work or volunteering experience in any industry or sector.

Our UK Summer Internship Program will run from 14 June to 6 August 2027, and internships will be available in our Financial Lines team.

About The AIG Early Career Programme

AIG's Summer Interns are immersed in the day-to-day operations of a fast-moving, global insurance company. During the 8-week program, you will gain valuable, hands-on experience and insurance industry knowledge, working with leaders on dynamic projects, with plenty of opportunity for challenges, learning and achievement.

Summer Interns join one of our key business teams, which offers a unique opportunity to obtain core technical knowledge and professional skills in a diverse environment. In addition to meaningful on-the-job experiences, interns will join instructor-led masterclasses, hear directly from senior leaders, and build meaningful connections through mentoring circles, networking events and volunteering.

Following completion of the internship program, interns may be considered for a permanent role in the Graduate Analyst program beginning in September 2028.
