BakerHicks is offering a two-year Graduate scheme designed to launch your career as a Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer. You will combine technical training with professional development, working alongside industry-leading teams on diverse, high‑profile projects.

From day one you’ll have a personalised on‑the‑job training plan focused on the HV department and OHL team, gaining real‑world experience while developing communication, collaboration, and leadership skills for long-term growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Producing deliverables associated with the design and build of complex Overhead Line Projects. these will be produced for some of the main high voltage transmission and distribution clients in the UK and abroad, covering both contractors and asset owners.
• Contributing to the preparation of enquiry plans, tender reviews, fee estimate sheets, scope of work documents and change control documentation as required.
• Developing an understanding of CDM regulations and apply the requirements in all design work will be essential.

• Achieving a relevant engineering degree, such as Civil/Structural, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Our commitment is to develop, train, and retain our graduates for the long term.
