Are you a recent graduate looking for work in education?

Calling all graduates looking for work in education and school settings

We are working with a SEMH secondary school in Hulme, which supports students with additional needs.

Prospero requires graduates to work with pupils from challenging backgrounds. The role will start as soon as possible and continue into September and the rest of the academic year.

You will be responsible for supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, delivering intervention sessions in maths, providing intensive support to small groups of learners.

The students you will work with have been taken out of mainstream education due to mental health needs or behavioral challenges and require extra pastoral, academic support, and mentoring.

You will be supported by outstanding teachers and a highly recognized leadership team.

Experience, Training, and Qualifications

• Degree in Psychology, or a relevant degree such as Maths, English, Sociology, Criminology, Arts, Dance, Drama, Sports, or a background in Health & Social Care.
• Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
• Relevant experience working with children or young people with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties is essential.
• A Level 3 qualification in Education, Childcare, or a related field is desirable but not mandatory.
• A genuine passion for promoting the social and emotional well-being of students, with empathy and patience.
• Ability to remain resilient and handle challenging behavior professionally.
• Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and a commitment to student welfare and safety.
• Up-to-date behavior management training (training can be provided).

• Hold Right to Work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide professional references covering the last 2 years.
