Are you passionate about providing tailored support to help children thrive? We’re seeking a compassionate and skilled 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a primary school pupil in Teignmouth. Your Role as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
  • Provide dedicated, individual support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them engage with the curriculum and achieve their goals.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit the pupil’s learning style and needs, ensuring they feel supported and included.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with social and emotional development, building a trusting relationship with the pupil.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour in the learning environment.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience working with children, particularly in a 1:1 or SEN support capacity.
  • A patient, understanding, and empathetic approach to supporting individual needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with staff, pupils, and parents.
  • Relevant qualifications such as Supporting Teaching and Learning (Level 2 or 3) are an advantage but not essential.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
