Manchester City Women is seeking a permanent, full-time Strength and Conditioning professional based at the City Football Academy in Manchester. You will plan, deliver and review evidence-informed physical development programmes to support individual player progression and team performance across a demanding season.
Day-to-day responsibilities include on-pitch and off-pitch S&C delivery, designing training practices, and contributing to profiling, monitoring, recovery and return-to-performance
Based in Manchester at the City Football Academy, this permanent full-time role supports the physical performance of Manchester City Women’s 1st Team through evidence-informed, pitch-based strength and conditioning support. You will help players prepare, perform, recover and progress across a demanding season and multiple competitions, working closely with coaches, players and the wider multidisciplinary team to create meaningful physical impact on and off the pitch.

Within our Performance Services team, we create engaging performance environments that support players and teams to fulfil their potential. The Physical Performance team works collaboratively across coaching, medical and performance disciplines to help players develop the physical qualities, resilience and readiness needed to perform with high skill and intensity.
This role plays an important part in supporting 1st Team performance outcomes for Manchester City Women. You will plan, deliver and review evidence-informed physical development programmes that support individual player progression, group performance and the wider MCWFC Performance Services strategy.
Day to day, you will work across on-pitch and off-pitch strength and conditioning delivery, helping to design training practices and schedules that support agreed physical outputs and positional demands. You will contribute to physical profiling, monitoring systems, recovery and regeneration interventions, injury rehabilitation and return-to-performance support, using data and insight to inform clear, practical recommendations.
Working as part of the Physical Performance team and wider multidisciplinary team, you will build effective relationships with players, coaches and performance staff. You will also support matchday preparation where required and contribute to projects, professional development and continuous improvement that help the department keep evolving.
