Job summary

Booker Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a local delivery driver to join our team. Working around 45 hours per week on an Any 5 from 7 pattern, you will drive locally, load and unload goods, and build relationships with regular customers to ensure on-time deliveries and great service.

You'll need a CatC / 18T licence and prior driving experience; strong customer-facing skills and good literacy and numeracy are expected.

Qualifications

• CatC / 18T licence required.
• Two years driving experience preferred.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Basic literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch.
• Deliver to customers and unload at premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. Working45 hours per week you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

Main Responsibilities

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

CatC / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
