Job summary

Booker Group in the United Kingdom is seeking aDelivery Driver to join our local delivery team. You will drive locally, load stock at the branch, unload at customer premises, and ensure orders arrive accurately and on time.

The role emphasizes customer service, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage paper­work. Weekly hours are around 45 with weekend work as part of an Any 5 from 7 pattern.

Qualifications

• Hold a Cat C / 18T licence.
• At least two years driving experience.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Able to perform manual deliveries and handle paperwork.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
• Drive locally to deliver to regular customers and build relationships.
• Support on-time deliveries and provide a great service.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. Working 45 hours per week you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

• Cat C / 18T Licence
• Previous experience of driving (at least two years)
• Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude
• Good level of literacy and numeracy
