Job summary

Booker Group in Eastbourne is seeking a delivery driver to join our local delivery team. You will work around 45 hours per week on an “Any 5 from 7” pattern, including weekend work, loading stock at the branch and delivering to customers with care and accuracy.

You will hold a Cat B / 3.5T licence, have at least two years of driving experience, and bring excellent interpersonal and numeracy skills to ensure customers receive their orders on time with a high standard of service.

Qualifications

• Cat B / 3.5T licence holders with driving experience.
• Two years driving experience required.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and literacy.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch.
• Unload at customer premises.
• Complete paperwork accurately.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. Working 45 hours per week you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

Cat B / 3.5T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
