Job summary

Booker Group is seeking a delivery driver to join our local driving team. You will work approximately 45 hours per week, driving locally, loading at the branch and unloading at customer premises.

You will help maintain relationships with regular customers and ensure deliveries arrive on time with excellent service. The role operates on an Any 5 from 7 pattern with some weekend work and includes fully funded CPC training hours.

Qualifications

• Cat C / 18T Licence (or equivalent)
• Two years of driving experience
• Delivery driving experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude
• Good literacy and numeracy abilities

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch
• Deliver to customer premises and unload at destination
• Complete paperwork accurately and on time
• Build relationships with regular customers and ensure on-time deliveries
• Support flexible weekend and shift patterns as part of an Any 5 from 7 schedule

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. Working 45 hours per week you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an "Any 5 from 7" contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

Cat C / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
