Job summary

Booker Group is seeking a delivery driver to join our team. You will drive locally, load and unload stock, and ensure customers receive deliveries on time with a high standard of service.

The role requires a Cat C / 18T licence and at least two years of driving experience, with weekend shifts and a flexible 5-from-7 pattern. Overtime and CPC training are available.

Qualifications

• Cat C / 18T licence is required.
• Two years driving experience is required.
• Delivery driving experience is preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver locally to customers as part of a delivery team.
• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure deliveries arrive on time with good service.
• Complete paperwork accurately.
• Build relationships with regular customers.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. Working 45 hours per week you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an "Any 5 from 7" contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

Cat C / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
