Job summary

Booker Group is seeking a delivery driver to join our local delivery team. You will drive 45 hours per week, building relationships with regular customers and ensuring on-time deliveries with a high level of service.

The role requires a Cat C / 18T licence, at least two years of driving experience, and good literacy and numeracy. We offer weekend work on an “Any 5 from 7” pattern and opportunities for overtime. Bookings and paperwork must be completed accurately.

Qualifications

• Valid Cat C / 18T licence is required.
• At least two years’ driving experience.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive locally to deliver goods to customers.
• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Complete paperwork accurately for deliveries.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. Working 45 hours per week you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

Cat C / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
