Job summary

Booker is seeking a delivery driver to join our Brighton branch, helping keep customers stocked and satisfied. You will drive locally, load stock at the branch, unload at customer premises, and build strong relationships with regular customers.

This is an Any 5 from 7 pattern with a 45-hour week and some weekend work. A Cat C / 18T licence and at least two years’ delivery driving experience are required. We offer great benefits including discounts, pension, and wellbeing support.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. Working45 hours per week you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

CatC / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
