Job summary

Booker Group plc is seeking a driver to join our delivery team in the Blackburn area. You will be responsible for loading stock at the branch, delivering to customers and unloading at premises, ensuring accurate paperwork and timely deliveries.

You should have a Cat C/Class 2 licence with at least two years of driving experience and a strong customer service mindset. The role includes fully funded CPC training hours and potential weekend work in a 7-day operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in driving (at least two years)
• Delivery driving experience preferred
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude
• Good literacy and numeracy

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the Branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Keep shelves full with products for customers.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. You will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

This is a 7 day operation, our shift patternsmay include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

Cat C / 12t, 14t & 18t Licence / Class 2

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
