Job summary

Booker is hiring a local delivery driver to join our team in the Edinburgh area. You will drive locally, load at the branch and deliver to regular customers, building relationships and ensuring on-time, friendly service.

The role is a 7-day operation with weekend patterns and overtime opportunities. Ongoing CPC training is provided. You will make manual deliveries, maintain accurate paperwork and present Booker with a positive customer-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• CatC / 18T licence (Class 2) required.
• Two years driving experience preferred.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries to customers.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service attitude.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure customers' shelves are stocked and deliveries are accurate.
• Complete paperwork accurately.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

CatC / 18T Licence / Class 2

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
