Job summary

Yorkshire Education Group is seeking a 14–16 Learning Support and Achievement Mentor to join the School Partnerships Team. You will provide classroom support for compulsory school age learners on Early College Transfer and part-time College/School link programmes.

You will help improve learner confidence, attendance and progression, support transitions, and liaise with partner schools and staff while recording attendance and progression data.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at minimum level, or equivalent.
• Level 2 Word Processing/ECDL/CLAIT or equivalent, or willingness to study.
• Experience working in a busy office environment.
• Experience supporting learners aged 14-16 in an educational context.
• Ability to interpret and input data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement measures to improve learners' self-confidence, motivation and attendance.
• Support the transition of 14-16 students from school to college studies.
• Liaise with partner schools and Group staff to support learner development.
• Log and report learner attendance, retention, achievement and progression.
