Job summary

Heart of Yorkshire Education Group is seeking a 14-16 Learning Support and Achievement Mentor to join our School Partnerships Team, providing classroom support to compulsory school-age students taking part in Early College Transfer and part-time College/School link programmes.

You will contribute to service delivery standards, assist with School Partnership projects such as Year 10 Taster Days, and help develop measures to improve confidence, attendance and progression.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (C/4) or equivalent Level 2 qualification.
• Level 2 Word Processing/ECDL/CLAIT or equivalent, or willingness to study.
• Experience in a busy office environment.
• Experience in a support/educational capacity with 14–16 learners.
• Ability to interpret and input data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement measures to improve confidence, motivation, attendance, achievement and progression of learners.
• Support the transition of 14–16 students from school to college studies.
• Liaise with partner schools and Group staff to support learner development and progression.
• Log and report learner attendance, retention, achievement and progression.
