Job Description: 12d/Unit 2 Traffic Management Operative, Crawley

This role offers a highly competitive salary, depending on location, skills, and experience, along with company benefits and overtime opportunities. We also provide a £500 welcome bonus for qualified operatives.

About Chevron Traffic Management

Chevron Traffic Management specializes in setting up temporary road or lane closures, diversions, and pedestrian walkways to ensure safety during roadworks. Our work involves planning, designing, and liaising with clients and suppliers, incorporating innovation and technology to improve safety and reduce our carbon footprint.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking traffic counts, calls to clients and subcontractors, and managing timings and near misses.
• Maintaining temporary traffic lights.
• Installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management equipment such as cones, signs, and barriers.
• Assisting and guiding new trainees.

Qualifications

• SLG Unit 2 or M1/M2 qualification as a minimum.
• 12d Lantra qualification is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Chapter 8.
• Full driving license with no more than 6 points; bans must have expired for at least 5 years.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
• Adaptability, flexibility, meticulous attention to detail.

Additional Information

General hours are 40 per week with overtime; shifts may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends. On-call duties may apply, especially if using a company van.
