Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc is offering a 12‑month work placement in Retail Banking and Wealth, starting June 2027. You will explore customer journeys, digital banking and product propositions while developing practical change ideas.

You’ll learn through role-specific training, hands-on experience, and assessments aligned to securing a graduate role within the Retail Banking team. Aiming to build customer insight and collaborative skills.

Qualifications

• Eligible for full-time 12-month placement starting June 2027.
• Will have completed undergraduate studies by July 2029.
• Placement to be part of undergraduate studies, graduating in 2029.
• On-track to obtain a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree (or overseas equivalent).
• Penultimate year of undergraduate study.
• Legally permitted to work in the UK for the full duration without HSBC sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work with Retail Banking teams to improve customer journeys and digital propositions.
• Review product ranges, customer service activity and marketing campaigns using data.
• Identify trends and opportunities for improvement and shape practical changes.
• Collaborate across customer, product and delivery teams on project work and assessments.
