Job summary

DCA Design International Limited in Warwick offers a 12-month industrial placement for embedded software students, starting summer 2027. You will contribute from day one, working on software planning, design, coding, debugging and testing across microcontrollers. The role includes Python usage on PCs or Raspberry Pi and real client projects.

You will be mentored throughout, with opportunities to expand hardware and electronics knowledge and experience, preparing for graduation and future roles.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C/embedded C and Python at a practical level.
• Basic knowledge of embedded systems and hardware.
• Experience with embedded microcontrollers (e.g. Arduino).
• Proactive, enthusiastic and able to work independently and in a team.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Passionate about identifying and solving problems (debugging).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to software planning, design, coding, debugging and testing.
• Work on embedded software running on various microcontrollers.
• Assist with researching new software tools and technologies for future development.
• Be assigned a mentor to support objectives and development goals.
